NEW FUJINON A20x8.6 AND A20x6.4 LENSES FEATURE LONGEST ZOOM IN PROFESSIONAL VIDEO MARKET

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, NAB Convention, LVCC Booth #L8739, April 23, 2001 - Four new lenses for the professional video market are being introduced by Fujinon at the NAB convention this year. The A20x8.6 for 2/3-inch cameras and the S20x6.4 for 1/2-inch cameras. Both are available with built in 2X range extenders and feature Fujinon’s Inner focusing system. This new lineup offers focal length ranges never available in Professional grade lenses while offering superior optic quality and features at a cost-effective price.

The A20X (2/3-inch) boasts a range of 8.6 mm to 172mm, while the S20X (1/2-inch) comes in at 6.4 mm to 128 mm.

To add to the versatility of the 2/3-inch version Fujinon is offering the RCV-82SC 16:9-4:3 front mounted ratio converter. This simple device, which is only slightly larger than a filter, attaches to the front of the lens and compensates for the loss in angle of view when used with the new switchable format cameras.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, NAB Convention, LVCC Booth #L8739, April 23, 2001 - At NAB 2001, Fujinon will introduce the HA17x7.8E NEWStandard high definition ENG/EFP lens. The HA17x7.8E offers superior optical performance and powerful digital control with Fujinon’s Digi Power features.

The HA17x7.8E high definition lens is ideal for broadcast news and field production applications. By utilizing Fujinon’s exclusive Super EBC coating technology and a new Inner Focusing system, chromatic aberrations have been minimized throughout the zoom range.

Fujinon’s Digi Power Servo provides operators with more precise control of zoom, focus and iris functions. The new Digi Power servo provides greater repeatability and offers extremely high positioning accuracy. Fujinon’s exclusive Digital Quick Zoom function lets the operator rapidly zoom-in to check focus with the push of a button, and then return automatically to the preset shot. Cruise Zoom provides for pre-selected zoom speed by pressing the cruise button while zooming.

Available as an option on the HA17x7.8E is Fujinon’s QUICKFRAME function, which provides quick framing for operators that prefer manual zoom. The system provides for seamless switching of motor-driven zooming to the manual operation, without disengaging the zoom motor. A zoom torque adjustment provides the desired amount of resistance, and a convenient switch allows the operator the option of turning the QUICKFRAME option off.
