While the cops' investigation also snares a makeup artist who dabbles in Botox, they find they need one more missing link to make their case -- and subsequently look to the dysfunctional family for more clues. Emmy Award-nominated actor Hal Linden ("Barney Miller") also guest-stars. Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance also star.

Soon their investigation turns to a shady state public administrator (guest star Dennis Christopher, "Breaking Away") who has re-invented the concept of "grave-robbing." Goren discovers the suspect's weakness for expensive collector cars, but to make the case succeed in court, he might also need to exploit his quarry's personal relationships. Paul Dooley ("Breaking Away," "Sixteen Candles") reunites with Christopher as the two guest stars rekindle their former film roles as father and son. Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance also star.

Finally, Tommy (guest star Paul Wasilewski) takes Amy (Emily VanCamp) to a party where she finds closure over the loss of Colin (Mike Erwin), but the evening takes a life-threatening turn.
