Beth finally tells her parents her secret, and they give her two choices -- neither of which is easy. Meanwhile, JJ (Will Estes) resumes his life as a top Marine, where he is promoted to a squad that rescues American POWs. Tyra Banks ("America's Next Top Model") guest-stars as a Velvelette singing "He Was Really Sayin' Something," Evan & Jaron ("Crazy for This Girl") guest-stars as The Everly Brothers, singing "Wake Up Little Suzie" in the Vinyl Crocodile, Ben Taylor ("Famous Among the Barns") guest-star as a singer in the Lair singing "In My Life" (Beatles), and Jill Rappaport (NBC's "Today") reprises her guest-starring role as a music reporter. "But Not Forgotten"
In search of a missing bookkeeper, Detectives Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and a pregnant Eames (Kathryn Erbe) stumble upon a ledger's worth of bodies, including the victim's hitman brother who botched a job and was whacked two years ago -- and the tortuous trail seems to lead to an imprisoned mobster who is due for parole. But when a key suspect linked to all the slayings turns up facedown in the river, the cops have to think outside the box to unravel the tangled web and that also could involve a crooked ex-cop (guest star Terry Serpico). Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance also star.

With no autopsies assigned to her on her first day as a pathology resident in the Massachusetts State Coroner's Office, Devan Maguire (Jennifer Finnigan) takes Lily's (Kathryn Hahn) task of notifying the wife (guest star Cyd Strittmatter) of a murder victim that her husband has been found shot and with traces of radioactivity on his body. But once she arrives at the couple's home, she is taken captive by armed men and must determine the connection between the dead man, a Geiger counter found in his home, and her kidnapping. Back at the morgue, Macy (Miguel Ferrer) receives a visit from FBI Agent Scannell (guest star David Ramsey) who seems more interested in keeping a dangerous secret about the dead man and missing plutonium than protecting the city of Boston. Ravi Kapoor, Steve Valentine, Jerry O'Connell and Ivan Sergei also star.

Most shocking of all, Karen is horrified to discover that Keith (Craig Sheffer) was drinking while driving at the time of the accident. Meanwhile, Nathan (James Lafferty) tries to win Haley (Bethany Joy Lenz) back after she dumps him.
