Tom (Quinn), a dedicated high school and soon-to-be divorced father of
two young boys, and Maggie (Griffiths), a compassionate teacher and
divorcee who reaches out to Tom during his period of adjustment.
Maggie also comes to the aid of Victoria (America Ferrera), a
troubled, pregnant teenager whose mother has disowned her. When Maggie
brings Victoria to the farmhouse of two gruff bachelor brothers,
Harold and Raymond McPheron (William Andrews and Geoffrey Lewis), the
men agree to take her in even though they've lived alone their entire
lives.
