As Goren probes deeper into the lad's vulnerable psyche, he believes that the social worker was going to veto the baby Einstein's admission into a prestigious, accelerated school. Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance also star.

Meanwhile, Riley (Matt Craven) is forced to take on the defense of a thieving hood (guest star Julien Cesario) and ponders a prosecutor's generous settlement that would allow him to fulfill his promise to take his kids trick-or-treating. The office politics and backstabbing continues when Ariel (Elizabeth Mitchell) researches a cryptic old photo she took from Jack's desk, which piques Grant's (Kyle Chandler) curiosity. David Krumholtz and Frances Fisher also star.

Núñez, Jr.) hit a dead-end while investigating a young boy's (guest star Adam Cabral) disappearance, and Jane enlists Tarzan's (Travis Fimmel) help to use his extraordinary tracking skills to find the child. When Sam learns of Tarzan's involvement and his role in Michael's (Johnny Messner) death, he must decide whether to turn him in or keep Jane's secret.

Mitch Pileggi also stars. The episode was written by P.K. Simonds and directed by David Solomon.

Meanwhile, Ephram (Gregory Smith) finally has the courage to tell Amy (Emily Van Camp) how he really feels about their relationship, but he is confused by his feelings for Madison (Sarah Lancaster), who comes to the rescue when Ephram needs help to pass his driving test. Andy tries to help the soon-to-be-remarried Reverend Keyes (guest star Tim DeKay) cope with his impending blindness, but the minister would rather leave his fate to God than attempt a new treatment that might save his sight.
