New Zoom Lens Among Fujinon Cine Styles Unveiled at NAB 2001

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, NAB Convention, LVCC Booth #L8739, April 23, 2001 - Three new prime lenses and one zoom will be introduced within Fujinon’s series of HDTV Cine Style lenses at NAB 2001. Fujinon will debut the HAF16B-10, HAF34B-10, and HAF54B-10 fixed focal length prime lenses and the HA17x7.8B-10 zoom lens at this year’s NAB convention. The new lenses join the current HDTV Cine Style series of lenses, including the HAF5B-10 wide-angle lens, HAF8B-10, HAF12B-10, HAF20B-10, and HAF40B-10.

Since their initial introduction at NAB 2000, sets of Fujinon HD Cine Style prime lenses have been sold to industry-leading film and video equipment and production companies, including Band Pro Film and Video, Boston Camera Rental Company, Plus8Video, Fletcher Chicago, Bexel and Film/Video Equipment Service Company.

The HA17x7.8B-10 is a new intermediate range zoom that offers 17x magnification and a focal length range of 7.8 mm to 133 mm. As with all of Fujinon’s cine style zoom lenses the A17X7.8B-10 features reduced breathing when focusing and a focus rotation of 200°.

All Fujinon HDTV Cine Style lenses are designed specifically to work with the newest high definition video cameras on the market. And all lenses in this series feature markings for zoom, focus, and iris- and cine-compatible gearing for interfacing with existing cine controls and matte boxes.

The HAF16B-10 features an angle of view of 33° 22’, while the HAF34B-10 offers a16° 03’ angle of view with focusing as close as 0.4 meters. The longest focal length prime, the HAF54B-10, has a field of view of 10° 09’ and focuses as close as 0.6 meters.
