Did you miss the Black Friday specials? Feeling a little regret that you didn’t grab one of those door-buster deals? Don’t be glum; as predicted, there are plenty of deals available this week as retailers make a last-minute effort to get inventory out of their warehouses and off their books before the start of the new year.

I’m not saying that any of these following examples are necessarily the best deals available, but I think you’ll agree that some of these prices are enough to get your attention. These are a few of the bargains that have crossed my desktop in the past few days:

o CompUSA.com is selling a refurbed Vizio 47″ LCD HDTV with 120 Hz refresh rate for $599.99 and free shipping.
o Buy.com has the LG 47LD520 47″ 120 Hz LCD HDTV for $699.99 with free shipping.
o Sears has a 50″ LG 50PK250 1080p plasma HDTV for $699.88.
o Walmart is selling a Viore 24″ 1080p LCD HDTV with LED backlight for $189.

The fact is that while consumer electronics in general sold better this year than they did last year, sales for HDTVs did not keep pace. So if you’re thinking about upgrading before the NFL playoffs get started (why wait until the SuperBowl?), this week could be a great time to get a new set.
