I watched Alfred Poor's video about his buying advice. So, I bought my first 3D TV (a Vizio M3D550SR). Now, it's like years ago when I got my first HDTV; I'm looking for content and not finding much. So I feel like, "I'm here; let's get the party started!"
We watched Tangled (the Disney movie). It was great in 3D; the third dimension really added to the movie. But, now what? I should mention that we cut the cable TV cord years ago. I'm looking for 3D content on blu-ray, the internet or over-the-air. The big library downtown has zero 3D movies.
I read that the Olympics will be broadcast in 3D but probably not OTA. What's up with that? And this fall, will I be able to watch NFL games in 3D? And is there an OTA broadcast standard or not and is my new TV in danger of becoming immediately obsolete?
I just tried Vudu. Renting 3D movies there is expensive, but it does work just fine. Any other suggestions?
