This is a small motor in a C-band dish feed assembly. This motor selects whether vertical or horizontal polarization is to be received.

Just to confuse things we call that a polar-rotor motor and it is used at many frequencies to include C-band and Ku.

Star Choice for example, unlike DirecTV or DISH uses horizontal and vertical polarization and use the same type of polar-rotor used in C Band
