Indy 500 in HD This Year

It's about time. Next sunday, May 27, on ABC.

Having never been there, I am going to use the great pictures of the track and my Tivo pause function to scope out the layout. Because I will be there next month for the US Grand Prix. Hoping that one will be in HD also.

Holy cow!!! That is just too coooooooooooooooooooooolll Been waiting YEARS.........

I have been to Indy three times, it is a cool place ( lived there for about 10 years). That said, I prefer the TV version, and now in HD...!?!? yo baby yo

What an Indy! And all in HD!!!

I expected half baked HD, a mix of 16:9 480P with real HD cameras but that was not the case! The only old content was the on board cameras on the cars and that is certainly understandable.

Yeah, it was cool! It would be nice when ABC catches up with FOX and incorporates 5.1 surround sound too. Nothing better than watching a NASCAR race on FOX and they take a time out for their "Crank it Up" segment!

I agree ... ABC did indeed do a good job in covering this race. Too bad the rain spoiled it somewhat, but Dario Franchitti was a deserving winner! He is indeed a gentlemen. He was genuinely beside himself ... like a kid winning his first race!
