This certainly sounds interesting, but I hafta say that the story tells me almost nothing about this piece of equipment. Will I be able to take my edited HDTV movies and somehow play them on this device. What media will it then use? Or am I reading this all wrong??

For the most part, this looks like just another media player. We'll know more as they get closer to their September launch, but it appears to be much like other "media extenders" on the market.

Where this appears to differ a bit is that it looks as though you'll be able to take your locally (or network) stored media and upload it to various online services like Flickr, etc. Could be interesting.

It will all be about the implementation. It must be easier to use that a computer, or people won't change over. Personally, I'd rather do my uploading via keyboard rather than via remote control.

We shall see,
