Samsung Electronics today unveiled its second-generation Blu-ray player for the home entertainment industry. Samsung expects that the BD-P1200 player will help the company stay a step ahead of the cutting-edge optical media industry.

Sure hope that is a typo since the stream on the disc is 1080P24 not 1080I. Their first generation used a decoder that only supported 1080I so it was deinterlaced and 2/3 pulldown processed to provide a 1080P60 output.

I do see there is no statement of 1080P 24 frame... :roll:

It looks like they're talking about support for formats other than Blu-ray, yes? So this would apply to DVD (480i), etc.
