Sony Rolls Out World's Smallest Full HD Camcorder Just in Time for Your Summer Vacation

Sony calls this FULL HD, which to some means 1080p, it appears to be 1080i according to engadget and other sites.

From Sony's product page:

"1920x1080 Recording
Record stunning, incredibly detailed video footage in the clarity of 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution."

I have not looked at the unit itself, but from everything on the page above, it indicates that it will record 1080p. Do you have links to the other sites reporting otherwise?

I can't find anything at the Sony site that clearly says what it does without marketing terms. Like displays I bet you can claim 1920X1080 provided the vertical count is close.

If you're comparing 2073k to 1430k ... that's over 600k pixels shy. I'm guessing you just forgot to carry the 1

I'm not a camcorder technical guy but I bet it is related to feature sets... One thing is clear, it can't be a full 1920X1080.
