Did an HT hook up today for a customer and came to the shocking conclusion that this receiver does not support ANY form of digital audio via HDMI. You literally have to hook up a separate digital audio or analog audio from the source to the receiver.
While this may well work for many it is not a single cable HDMI plug and play.
Buyer beware...
The customer is going to upgrade the receiver to HD audio PCM at minimum for his Sony PS3 and Blu-ray.
