Does anyone sell a test disc?
I'm looking for something that displays a multiburst pattern to determine horizontal resolution.
The component input appears to be sharper than HDMI on my front projector. I need vertical lines in order to do an A-B comparison.
Thanks,
Ray

Actually you need a pattern generator that you know is delivering the proper signals with both connection types to tell you if this is a display problem.

JKP is working on a calibration disc. I believe Avia is as well. Neither has been released yet. JKP does have one for HD DVD... Digital Video Essentials HD DVD.

Silicon Optix has released a test disc for the blu-ray format...it is called (ready?) The HD HQC BENCHMARK IMAGE QUALITY ASSESSMENT TOOL! (phew!) They charge $20 for it and it's so basic it is very easy to use and comes with a 'scorecard' so you can enter the numbers that your setup achieves with the disc.

The HQV disc does not contain the test materials the original poster requires.
