Folks,

Your broadcast antenna map for the Boston area lists WFXT and WFXT-DT as both being 1000KW. The analog WFXT antenna (channel 25) is 1000KW, the HDTV antenna (channel 25.1 - rf 31) is only 75KW. I have been looking into this because I receive their analog channel really well but have had great difficulty with their HDTV broadcast. I live directly adjacent to Boston, all of the other digital broadcast channels come in without problem.

Hi Dave.

Our system reflects the data we receive from the FCC. I would assume then that the FCC has incorrect information in their database, or their database is a bit out of date.

Thanks,

You are picking up incorrect information from the FCC database regarding WFXT. Here's the correct info:

WFXT analog 25 has an ERP of 1,950 kW with an antenna at 356 meters above ground level.

WFXT digital 31 has a currently licensed ERP of 78 kW with an antena at 328 meters above ground level. They have a construction permit to increase power to 1 mW and raise their antenna to 339 meters above ground level.

Their transmitters are located in Needham.
