What is the cause and repair for a faint horizontal line midway up the screen on a LG 30 inch LCD television?

The cause is unknown, it failed...
The failure would be either the panel, the buffer that drives the panel or the main digital CBA which drives the buffer but that would be a very rare bird. More than likely, one of the first two.
Time to call service!
