Hey Pete,
Doesn't that compression destroy the integrity of the picture/director's insight?? It seems to me that I kill myself to calibrate a display to portray that directors ideas/ideals......and now the parts of the screen that "we" don't look at don't matter???? Why not just turn the brightness up & the contrast down.....instant compression!! Just my 2cents
