TV Broadcasters Set Digital Deadline

According to the NAB, some 1,500 of 1,700 local U.S. stations currently broadcast digital HDTV signals. But at this point only 5 percent of households have TVs that can receive digital content, and there are still at least 73 million sets in use that can't receive those signals, said NAB spokesperson Dennis Wharton.
