HDTV Almanac - HDTV Prices Drop!
Here we go, foks. At least one manufacturer has not waited until September to make some big cuts in their product prices, and this is not one of the third tier brands, either. Sharp announced price drops for their line of AQUOS LCD TVs, according to TWICE:

Now, this news is tempered somewhat by the fact that Sharp has also announced a new line of AQUOS TVs that are due to start shipping in September or so, but that still does not solve their problem of existing inventory. So like the end of model year clearance sales at car dealers, look for these Sharp sale prices to start showing up in stores. And watch for other manufacturers to answer with some price cuts of their own.
