Editors Note Please forgive me for
not delivering the guide yesterday . My only hope is that
you missed it dearly and are looking forward to today's
issue. I usually work throughout the night as that is the
only time when there are no phone calls or other
distractions, and once I had not made it past 7:30 the
phones began and other distractions and finally sleep
overcame me. For those of you who may have just subscribed
I can tell you that this is a rare occasion. This is still
an experimental enterprise and not Time Magazine, but the
good news is that we are in serious talks with very large
publishers who seem to believe in the vision for the
future of the magazine--make it a full companion to the
technical revolution that is now being led by the HDTV
image. My aim is to have as many departments as there are
sectors of human interest from a Sports Page, Financial
Section, Gossip Page, How It Works Section, and a
department dedicated to the social reconstruction that
HDTV is certain to bring to all parts of the world._Dale |
