The West Wing

Resuming from last season's cliffhanger, the world
watches the desperate search for the President's (Martin Sheen) abducted daughter while
rival administrations form an uneasy alliance as they weigh options that might include a
preemptive military strike at terrorist targets -- a move that could doom the victim.
After President Bartlet invoked the 25th Amendment, House Speaker Walken (guest star John
Goodman, "Roseanne") addresses the nation after the news breaks about Bartlet's
assassination of a Qumari terrorist leader last year, more anti-American violence occurs
overseas and the weary President gathers his family at the White House -- but faces losing
their respect after news reports of the Qumari incident. Annabeth Gish ("The
X-Files") guest stars as Elizabeth, Bartlet's oldest daughter. John Spencer, Bradley
Whitford, Richard Schiff, Allison Janney, Dule Hill, Janel Moloney, Stockard Channing,
Joshua Malina and Lily Tomlin also star.

One Tree Hill
Does it get any better? Chad Michael Murray returns to The WB in One Tree Hill, a
dramatic new series about what happens when the lives of two estranged brothers collide.
Aside from a love for hoops, it would seem that
Lucas (Chad Michael Murray, Dawson's Creek, A Cinderella Story) and Nathan (James
Lafferty, A Season on the Brink) are two young men with little in common, but they are
bound by the dark secret that they share the same father (Paul Johannson, Beverly Hills
90210). Nathan is the star of the high school basketball team and local town hero while
Lucas is the only child of a single working mom (Moira Kelly, The West Wing). Now the two
boys' lives collide when a twist of fate puts Lucas on Nathan's team and the half-brothers
compete, not only for control of the court, but also for the heart of Nathan's beautiful
girlfriend Peyton (Hilarie Burton).
Bethany Joy Lenz, Sophia Bush, Barry Corbin and Craig Sheffer also star. Bryan
Gordan directed the episode written by Mark Schwahn.
